W\u00e4hrend NKTCL in europ\u00e4ischen Bev\u00f6lkerungsgruppen selten ist, ist es bei Personen asiatischer und s\u00fcdamerikanischer Abstammung h\u00e4ufig. Die Infektion mit dem Epstein-Barr-Virus war zuvor mit der Entwicklung von NKTCL verbunden. Andere Hinweise legen nahe, dass genetische Varianten innerhalb eines Gens, das f\u00fcr die Regulation des Immunsystems verantwortlich ist, ebenfalls zur Entwicklung von NKTCL beitragen.
