Jahrelanger Verschlei\u00df kann Ihre Knie belasten und Knieschmerzen verursachen. Tats\u00e4chlich leiden ~ 50% der Personen \u00fcber 50 an dieser Krankheit. Um die genetischen Grundlagen von Knieschmerzen besser zu verstehen, f\u00fchrten die Forscher eine genomweite Assoziationsstudie durch, in der die Genome von \u00fcber 170.000 Personen europ\u00e4ischer Abstammung untersucht wurden. Die Studie identifizierte 2 genetische Varianten, die mit Knieschmerzen assoziiert sind. Von diesen genetischen Varianten befindet sich eine in der N\u00e4he eines Gens, das zuvor an Arthrose beteiligt war. Arthrose ist die Abnutzung des flexiblen Schutzgewebes, das als Knorpel an den Knochenenden bekannt ist. Die andere Variante befindet sich in der N\u00e4he eines Gens, das f\u00fcr die Umwandlung von Knorpel in Knochen wichtig ist.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>HAST DU GEWUSST?<\/strong> Das menschliche Skelett besteht aus \u00fcber 200 Knochen!
