Um die Genetik, die zur Bestimmung des Pankreaskrebsrisikos beitr\u00e4gt, besser zu verstehen, wurden in dieser Studie 21.494 Personen europ\u00e4ischer und asiatischer Herkunft untersucht. Es wurden drei neue genetische Varianten identifiziert, die mit einem erh\u00f6hten Risiko f\u00fcr die Entwicklung dieser Erkrankung verbunden sind. Eine dieser Varianten war das LINC00673-Gen, von dem zuvor festgestellt wurde, dass es bei Krebs eine Rolle spielt. Eine weitere signifikante Variante befand sich im SUGCT-Gen. Das SUGCT-Protein ist am Metabolismus der Aminos\u00e4ure Glutarat beteiligt. Schlie\u00dflich wurde festgestellt, dass eine Variante des TP63-Gens assoziiert ist. TP63 ist auch als p63 bekannt und spielt eine Rolle bei der Regulierung des Zellzyklus und des Fortschreitens von Tumoren.
