Vitiligo ist eine seltene Krankheit, die durch die Zerst\u00f6rung von Melanozyten durch das k\u00f6rpereigene Immunsystem gekennzeichnet ist. Dies f\u00fchrt dazu, dass Hautflecken ihre Farbe verlieren. Um die genetische Anf\u00e4lligkeit f\u00fcr Vitiligo besser zu verstehen, untersuchte diese genomweite Assoziationsstudie die Genome von \u00fcber 44.000 Personen europ\u00e4ischer Abstammung. Die Studie identifizierte 50 genetische Varianten, von denen 23 neu entdeckt wurden.
