W\u00e4hrend Umweltfaktoren (z. B. Kultur und Wirtschaft) stark mit dem Fortpflanzungsverhalten zusammenh\u00e4ngen, wird angenommen, dass die Genetik bis zu 50% erkl\u00e4rt. Diese genomweite Assoziationsstudie mit fast 700.000 Personen europ\u00e4ischer Abstammung ergab 10 Varianten, die mit dem Alter bei der ersten Geburt zusammenh\u00e4ngen, ein h\u00e4ufig verwendetes Ma\u00df f\u00fcr das Fortpflanzungsverhalten. Die meisten der entdeckten Varianten sind bei Frauen viel bedeutender als bei M\u00e4nnern.
