Es wurde mit sozialer Isolation und Depression in Verbindung gebracht und kann ein Risikofaktor f\u00fcr Demenz sein. Obwohl angenommen wird, dass sie hoch vererbbar sind, sind die genetischen Faktoren, die mit einer Veranlagung zu altersbedingten H\u00f6rst\u00f6rungen (ARHI) verbunden sind, weitgehend unbekannt.
