Es kommt in der Prostata vor &#8211; einer Dr\u00fcse bei M\u00e4nnern, die die Samenfl\u00fcssigkeit produziert. Um neue genetische Varianten zu identifizieren, die mit dieser Krankheit assoziiert sind, untersuchte diese Studie das Genom von 7.240 Individuen. Die bedeutendste gefundene Variante war das MLPH-Gen, das eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Entwicklung der Haut- und Haarpigmentierung spielt.
