Diese Strukturen haben Funktionen im Zusammenhang mit der Regulierung von Bewegung, Lernen, Ged\u00e4chtnis und Motivation. In dieser Studie wurde das Volumen der Gehirnstrukturen von 30.717 Personen mittels Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) gemessen. Die Studie identifizierte Assoziationen zwischen genetischen Varianten und dem Volumen verschiedener subkortikaler Strukturen.
