Obwohl dieser Zustand manchmal als kosmetisches Problem angesehen wird, k\u00f6nnen sie auch das Risiko von Blutgerinnseln erh\u00f6hen. Um genetische Varianten zu identifizieren, die ein Individuum f\u00fcr Krampfadern pr\u00e4disponieren k\u00f6nnen, untersuchte diese Studie das Genom von \u00fcber 490.000 Individuen europ\u00e4ischer Abstammung. 30 neu entdeckte genetische Loci korrelierten mit einer Veranlagung zur Entwicklung dieses Zustands.
