Autoimmunerkrankungen treten auf, wenn das Immunsystem f\u00e4lschlicherweise die k\u00f6rpereigenen Zellen und Organe angreift. Eine der schw\u00e4chsten Autoimmunerkrankungen ist die systemische Sklerose, die zu Narbenbildung der Haut und der inneren Organe f\u00fchrt. Mit der Zeit schr\u00e4nkt diese Narbenbildung langsam die Funktionsf\u00e4higkeit der Organe ein und ist besonders sch\u00e4dlich f\u00fcr die Lunge und die Blutgef\u00e4\u00dfe. In dieser Studie wurde versucht, genetische Varianten zu identifizieren, die zum Risiko einer Person f\u00fcr die Entwicklung einer systemischen Sklerose beitragen. Durch Untersuchung der genetischen Daten von fast 27.000 Personen europ\u00e4ischer Abstammung wurden 27 genetische Varianten identifiziert, die signifikant mit dem Risiko einer systemischen Sklerose korrelieren. Davon sind 13 neu entdeckt. Eine identifizierte Variante befand sich in DDX6, einem Gen, von dem zuvor gezeigt wurde, dass es eine Rolle bei der Entwicklung von Blutgef\u00e4\u00dfen spielt.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>HAST DU GEWUSST?<\/strong> Systemische Sklerose kann zu Hautverh\u00e4rtung und Gelenksteifheit f\u00fchren und die Bewegung extrem schmerzhaft machen.
