El cuerpo descompone los carbohidratos en glucosa, un az\u00facar que se utiliza como fuente de energ\u00eda. Hay dos tipos de carbohidratos: simples y complejos. Los carbohidratos simples incluyen pan blanco y refrescos. Se descomponen r\u00e1pidamente, lo que lleva a un aumento del az\u00facar en sangre. Ejemplos de carbohidratos complejos son el pan integral y la avena. A diferencia de los carbohidratos simples, los carbohidratos complejos se descomponen lentamente, lo que lleva a un aumento gradual y estable del az\u00facar en sangre. He earned an M.S. and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) Ph.D. program at Harvard University.\u00a0He has experience in science policy as an intern at the Science and Innovation Network where he assisted in the science diplomacy functions of the British Consulate-General and as a research associate at TScan Therapeutics.
