Ocurre en la pr\u00f3stata, una gl\u00e1ndula en los hombres que produce el l\u00edquido seminal. Para identificar nuevas variantes gen\u00e9ticas asociadas con esta enfermedad, este estudio examin\u00f3 los genomas de 7.240 individuos. La variante m\u00e1s significativa encontrada fue en el gen MLPH que juega un papel esencial en el desarrollo de la pigmentaci\u00f3n de la piel y el cabello. El estudio tambi\u00e9n identific\u00f3 variantes en genes cercanos que desempe\u00f1an un papel en la formaci\u00f3n de filamentos citoplasm\u00e1ticos que son cadenas de mol\u00e9culas de prote\u00ednas importantes para la forma, el movimiento y la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfSAB\u00cdAS?<\/strong> Aunque no existen m\u00e9todos de prevenci\u00f3n conocidos, llevar un estilo de vida saludable deber\u00eda reducir su riesgo de contraer esta enfermedad. El aumento de frutas y verduras mientras reduce los productos l\u00e1cteos en su dieta y el ejercicio durante 30 minutos la mayor\u00eda de los d\u00edas de la semana puede ayudar a prevenir esta enfermedad.
