En casos graves, AA puede poner en peligro la vida. Este estudio de asociaci\u00f3n de todo el genoma busc\u00f3 identificar variantes asociadas con el riesgo de anemia apl\u00e1sica grave mediante el examen de la informaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica de casi 3.000 personas de ascendencia europea. Los resultados indicaron 2 regiones gen\u00e9ticas relacionadas con el riesgo de AA grave. Ambas regiones gen\u00e9ticas codifican prote\u00ednas del sistema de ant\u00edgeno leucocitario humano (HLA) que desempe\u00f1a un papel en la regulaci\u00f3n del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfSAB\u00cdAS?<\/strong> La exposici\u00f3n a sustancias qu\u00edmicas t\u00f3xicas como pesticidas e insecticidas puede aumentar el riesgo de anemia apl\u00e1sica.
