Apr\u00e8s chaque battement de c\u0153ur, votre c\u0153ur met du temps \u00e0 se repolariser ou \u00e0 se \u00abrecharger\u00bb avant le prochain battement de c\u0153ur. Cette heure est connue sous le nom d&rsquo;intervalle QT. Plus l&rsquo;intervalle QT est long, plus il faut de temps \u00e0 votre c\u0153ur pour se recharger entre les battements cardiaques. Des intervalles trop longs sont un facteur de risque de maladies cardiaques, telles que des battements cardiaques anormaux et une mort cardiaque subite. Cette \u00e9tude a examin\u00e9 les g\u00e9nomes de plus de 100 000 individus, dont la plupart \u00e9taient d&rsquo;origine europ\u00e9enne, afin de mieux comprendre la base g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de la dur\u00e9e de l&rsquo;intervalle QT. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a identifi\u00e9 35 r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques associ\u00e9es au trait, dont 22 sont nouvelles. Plusieurs de ces r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques codent pour des prot\u00e9ines impliqu\u00e9es dans la voie de signalisation du calcium, soulignant l&rsquo;importance de la signalisation du calcium dans la recharge du c\u0153ur. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> La dur\u00e9e de l&rsquo;intervalle QT peut \u00eatre mesur\u00e9e avec un \u00e9lectrocardiogramme (ECG).
