Les cancers du sein sont class\u00e9s en fonction des r\u00e9cepteurs externes des cellules canc\u00e9reuses. Cette classification est utile pour pr\u00e9dire les r\u00e9sultats et les traitements efficaces. Le cancer du sein triple n\u00e9gatif est tout type de cancer du sein qui n&rsquo;a ni r\u00e9cepteur d&rsquo;\u0153strog\u00e8ne, ni r\u00e9cepteur de progest\u00e9rone, ni r\u00e9cepteur du facteur de croissance \u00e9pidermique humain 2 (HER2). Les cancers du sein triple n\u00e9gatifs sont encore assez h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8nes, certains sous-types \u00e9tant plus agressifs que d&rsquo;autres. 15 \u00e0 20% de tous les cas de cancer du sein sont des cancers du sein triple n\u00e9gatifs. Ces cancers ont souvent \u00e9galement des mutations dans le g\u00e8ne BRCA1. Cette \u00e9tude d&rsquo;association \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle du g\u00e9nome a examin\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 266 000 personnes d&rsquo;ascendance europ\u00e9enne pour identifier des variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques associ\u00e9es \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents types de cancer du sein, y compris le cancer du sein triple n\u00e9gatif. Au total, les chercheurs ont identifi\u00e9 330 r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques associ\u00e9es aux types de cancer du sein et les ont utilis\u00e9es pour calculer les scores polyg\u00e9niques. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que certaines variantes r\u00e9duisent le risque de certains types de cancer du sein tout en augmentant le risque d&rsquo;autres. Par exemple, l&rsquo;all\u00e8le G de rs78378222, un variant associ\u00e9 au g\u00e8ne suppresseur de tumeur TP53, prot\u00e8ge contre le cancer du sein triple n\u00e9gatif mais augmente le risque de cancer du sein luminal de type B. Ensemble, toutes les variantes identifi\u00e9es expliquent environ 37,6% de l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritabilit\u00e9 du cancer du sein triple n\u00e9gatif.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que les cancers du sein triple n\u00e9gatif sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des mutations BRCA1, certaines recherches sugg\u00e8rent que les femmes atteintes d&rsquo;un cancer du sein triple n\u00e9gatif devraient \u00e9galement \u00eatre test\u00e9es pour voir si elles sont porteuses de mutations BRCA1.
