Pour le c\u0153ur, le syst\u00e8me qui fournit son sang est appel\u00e9 circulation coronarienne. La maladie coronarienne survient lorsque les art\u00e8res coronaires sont endommag\u00e9es ou malades. En raison de la diminution du d\u00e9bit sanguin, moins d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne peut atteindre le c\u0153ur. Au fil du temps, cela peut entra\u00eener des crises cardiaques, faisant de la maladie coronarienne la principale cause de d\u00e9c\u00e8s chez les hommes et les femmes. Pour identifier les facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui contribuent au d\u00e9veloppement de la maladie coronarienne, cette \u00e9tude a examin\u00e9 plus de 168 000 personnes d&rsquo;ascendance japonaise. Une analyse transethnique qui comprenait \u00e9galement des donn\u00e9es d&rsquo;Europ\u00e9ens a trouv\u00e9 175 r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la maladie dans diff\u00e9rentes ethnies. Cela comprenait 40 variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas connues auparavant.
