Cette \u00e9tude a compar\u00e9 ~ 36 000 patients atteints de m\u00e9lanome \u00e0 ~ 375 000 individus sains d&rsquo;origine europ\u00e9enne et identifi\u00e9 68 variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques dans 54 r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques diff\u00e9rentes. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des associations entre le risque de cancer et une couleur de peau plus claire, ainsi qu&rsquo;un plus grand nombre de grains de beaut\u00e9 sur le corps. L&rsquo;une des r\u00e9gions associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la fois au m\u00e9lanome et aux grains de beaut\u00e9 est proche du g\u00e8ne PARP1, un g\u00e8ne de r\u00e9paration de l&rsquo;ADN qui aide \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler le m\u00e9lanome causant le g\u00e8ne MITF. Une autre variante a \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la r\u00e9gion HLA, ce qui sugg\u00e8re un r\u00f4le de l&rsquo;immunit\u00e9 dans le d\u00e9veloppement du cancer de la peau. D&rsquo;autres g\u00e8nes \u00e9taient impliqu\u00e9s dans la maintenance des t\u00e9lom\u00e8res. Les r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques d\u00e9couvertes dans cette \u00e9tude expliquent collectivement ~ 8,5% de l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritabilit\u00e9 du risque de cette maladie. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> Il existe de nombreux signes avant-coureurs pour d\u00e9terminer si une tache n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;une taupe ou est en fait un m\u00e9lanome. Le test le plus simple s&rsquo;appelle le test du \u00abvilain petit canard\u00bb &#8211; si un grain de beaut\u00e9 est diff\u00e9rent des autres grains de beaut\u00e9 sur votre corps, comme le vilain petit canard \u00e9tait diff\u00e9rent de ses fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs, cela vaut la peine d&rsquo;\u00eatre v\u00e9rifi\u00e9!
