Il se compose de 4 chambres: 2 oreillettes (gauche et droite) et 2 ventricules (gauche et droite). Le sang qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 enrichi en oxyg\u00e8ne dans les poumons p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans l&rsquo;oreillette gauche puis s&rsquo;\u00e9coule dans le ventricule gauche d&rsquo;o\u00f9 il est pomp\u00e9 vers toutes les autres parties du corps. Le volume de course (SV) est une mesure de la quantit\u00e9 de sang pomp\u00e9e hors du ventricule gauche pendant chaque battement.
