Cependant, le syst\u00e8me immunitaire d&rsquo;une personne peut parfois attaquer les propres cellules du corps, provoquant une maladie auto-immune. Cette \u00e9tude a examin\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques de plus de 30 000 patients atteints de maladie thyro\u00efdienne auto-immune et de plus de 700 000 t\u00e9moins sains (ascendance europ\u00e9enne) et a d\u00e9couvert 99 variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques, dont 84 nouvelles, associ\u00e9es \u00e0 une maladie thyro\u00efdienne auto-immune. L&rsquo;une des variantes d\u00e9couvertes r\u00e9duit la production du r\u00e9cepteur FLT3. En r\u00e9ponse, le corps produit davantage de la mol\u00e9cule de signalisation qui se lie \u00e0 la prot\u00e9ine r\u00e9ceptrice FLT3, ce qui affecte la fonction du syst\u00e8me immunitaire et augmente le risque de maladie thyro\u00efdienne auto-immune.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> La maladie de Hashimoto et la maladie de Grave sont toutes deux caus\u00e9es par le syst\u00e8me immunitaire qui attaque la glande thyro\u00efde.
