Les dommages aux reins peuvent entra\u00eener une accumulation de d\u00e9chets dans le corps, entra\u00eenant des risques plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s d&rsquo;insuffisance r\u00e9nale qui contribue aux maladies cardiaques et \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres conditions. Une grande partie de la contribution g\u00e9n\u00e9tique aux maladies r\u00e9nales n&rsquo;est pas bien comprise. son \u00e9tude d&rsquo;association trans-ethnique \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle du g\u00e9nome a examin\u00e9 plus d&rsquo;un million d&rsquo;individus d&rsquo;origine asiatique, sud-asiatique, afro-am\u00e9ricaine, hispanique et europ\u00e9enne. 82 nouvelles variantes associ\u00e9es \u00e0 une maladie r\u00e9nale chronique ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvertes. L&rsquo;une des nouvelles variantes les plus significatives est proche de NRIP1. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 rapport\u00e9 que des mutations de ce g\u00e8ne provoquent des anomalies cong\u00e9nitales dans les reins, ce qui peut augmenter le risque de maladie r\u00e9nale chronique chez les jeunes adultes.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> Pour aider \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir les maladies r\u00e9nales, mangez sainement (en particulier, consommez moins de sel), faites de l&rsquo;exercice r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement, dormez suffisamment et \u00e9vitez l&rsquo;alcool ainsi que les drogues.
