En fait, les Am\u00e9ricains en boivent pr\u00e8s de 400 millions de tasses par jour. Si le caf\u00e9 nous aide \u00e0 rester productif tout au long de la journ\u00e9e, les opinions sur son go\u00fbt varient. Alors que certains doivent couvrir le go\u00fbt du caf\u00e9 avec du lait et du sucre pour le trouver savoureux, d&rsquo;autres appr\u00e9cient le go\u00fbt d&rsquo;une tasse de caf\u00e9 noir. La perception gustative, comme l&rsquo;amertume et la douceur, et la pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence gustative sont connues pour \u00eatre h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaires. Cette \u00e9tude a tent\u00e9 de d\u00e9terminer les facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques en corr\u00e9lation avec la consommation de caf\u00e9 et d&rsquo;autres boissons am\u00e8res et sucr\u00e9es. Apr\u00e8s avoir examin\u00e9 les g\u00e9nomes de pr\u00e8s de 370 000 individus d&rsquo;ascendance europ\u00e9enne, les chercheurs ont identifi\u00e9 15 variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la consommation de caf\u00e9. Parmi ceux-ci, 6 variants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 nouvellement identifi\u00e9s dans cette \u00e9tude. L&rsquo;une de ces variantes est proche d&rsquo;un g\u00e8ne qui interagissait auparavant avec des mol\u00e9cules de caf\u00e9ine. Une autre variante est proche d&rsquo;un g\u00e8ne qui code une prot\u00e9ine impliqu\u00e9e dans la perception de l&rsquo;odorat.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> En plus de l&rsquo;explosion d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie qu&rsquo;il donne, la consommation de caf\u00e9 est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme ayant de nombreux avantages pour la sant\u00e9 si elle est consomm\u00e9e en quantit\u00e9s raisonnables.
