La longueur des t\u00e9lom\u00e8res (TL) est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement mesur\u00e9e en<em> leucocytes<\/em> \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;\u00e9chantillons de sang. Il peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme<em> biomarqueur<\/em> pour le vieillissement et les maladies li\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge comme la coronaropathie et certains cancers. Ce g\u00e9nome<em> m\u00e9ta-analyse<\/em> de plus de 78 000 personnes d&rsquo;origine europ\u00e9enne ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 identifier les r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques associ\u00e9es aux leucocytes TL pour mieux comprendre comment la longueur des t\u00e9lom\u00e8res est r\u00e9gul\u00e9e. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a rapport\u00e9 20 r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la TL leucocytaire, dont 6 qui sont rapport\u00e9es pour la premi\u00e8re fois. Certains des g\u00e8nes de ces r\u00e9gions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment li\u00e9s \u00e0 la r\u00e9paration des dommages \u00e0 l&rsquo;ADN.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l&rsquo;exercice r\u00e9gulier augmente la longueur des t\u00e9lom\u00e8res.
