La maladie coronarienne est la principale cause de d\u00e9c\u00e8s aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Cela se produit lorsque<em> plaque<\/em> s&rsquo;accumule dans les art\u00e8res du c\u0153ur et bloque le flux sanguin vers le c\u0153ur. Art\u00e9riel<em> plaque<\/em> se compose de plusieurs substances qui circulent dans le sang. L&rsquo;une des substances examin\u00e9es par l&rsquo;\u00e9tude est le HDL (lipoprot\u00e9ine de haute densit\u00e9)<em> cholest\u00e9rol<\/em> , \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de \u00abbon\u00bb<em> cholest\u00e9rol<\/em> . \u00c0 cette fin, cette \u00e9tude a analys\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques de plus de 440000 individus d&rsquo;origine europ\u00e9enne pour identifier les r\u00e9gions g\u00e9nomiques associ\u00e9es au HDL.<em> cholest\u00e9rol<\/em> niveaux sanguins. Les chercheurs ont identifi\u00e9 534 variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques, dont 383 nouvelles variantes, associ\u00e9es au HDL<em> cholest\u00e9rol<\/em> les niveaux.
