Par exemple, des \u00e9tudes ant\u00e9rieures ont montr\u00e9 qu&rsquo;un rythme de marche accru est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une diminution du risque de d\u00e9c\u00e8s par maladies cardiovasculaires et diverses formes de cancer. Pour identifier les facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui influencent le rythme de marche, cette \u00e9tude a recrut\u00e9 plus de 450 000 personnes d&rsquo;origine europ\u00e9enne. Apr\u00e8s avoir corr\u00e9l\u00e9 les informations g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques avec les vitesses de marche autod\u00e9clar\u00e9es, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude a identifi\u00e9 70 variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques associ\u00e9es au rythme de marche, dont 11 sont nouvelles. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a \u00e9galement examin\u00e9 les liens entre le rythme de marche et divers traits \/ conditions.
