Une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie a suivi, se propageant dans 26 pays et infectant plus de 8000 personnes avant que le virus ne soit contenu. Les sympt\u00f4mes typiques du SRAS sont similaires \u00e0 ceux de la grippe, notamment la fi\u00e8vre, les maux de t\u00eate et les sensations g\u00e9n\u00e9rales d&rsquo;inconfort. Les cas graves de la maladie \u00e9taient courants, entra\u00eenant un taux de mortalit\u00e9 de pr\u00e8s de 10%. Les deux virus sont originaires de chauves-souris et partagent 80% de leur code g\u00e9n\u00e9tique. Cette variante se trouve pr\u00e8s du<em> MxA<\/em> g\u00e8ne, qui joue normalement un r\u00f4le dans l&rsquo;inhibition de la r\u00e9plication des coronavirus du SRAS.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Infection \u00e0 coronavirus du SRAS (Tu, 2015)<\/h4>\n\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude a examin\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques des patients chinois atteints du SRAS pour identifier des variantes dans 2 g\u00e8nes qui conduisent \u00e0 un risque accru d&rsquo;infection. Une variante est dans le<em> CCL2<\/em> g\u00e8ne, qui joue un r\u00f4le dans l&rsquo;attraction des macrophages vers un site d&rsquo;infection.
