De plus, en raison de la croissance de<a href=\"https:\/\/www.technologyreview.com\/s\/615184\/the-coronavirus-is-the-first-true-social-media-infodemic\/\"> des m\u00e9dias sociaux<\/a> plateformes, informations sur COVID-19, y compris<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/travelers\/index.html\"> restrictions de voyage<\/a> et<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/a-chinese-mystery-and-covid-19s-economic-puzzle-11583521819\"> impacts \u00e9conomiques<\/a> , se propage rapidement, peut-\u00eatre m\u00eame plus vite que le virus lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n<p>Mais comment un virus, qui est<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/are-viruses-alive-2004\/\"> m\u00eame pas vivant<\/a> , \u00e9pave tant de ravages?<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une introduction sur les virus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/scitable\/definition\/virus-308\/\">Virus<\/a> sont des organismes microscopiques compos\u00e9s de prot\u00e9ines, de graisses, de sucres et de mat\u00e9riel g\u00e9n\u00e9tique qui existent presque partout sur la plan\u00e8te. Une fois qu&rsquo;un virus infecte une cellule vivante, il d\u00e9tourne la machinerie de la cellule pour cr\u00e9er une \u00abusine de virus\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Virus de l&rsquo;immunod\u00e9ficience humaine (VIH)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>En 1984, des scientifiques de l&rsquo;Institut Pasteur de Paris l&rsquo;Institut National du Cancer ont annonc\u00e9 la<a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/topics\/1980s\/history-of-aids\"> d\u00e9couverte du VIH<\/a> , un virus qui infecte le syst\u00e8me immunitaire humain et peut entra\u00eener le syndrome d&rsquo;immunod\u00e9ficience acquise (SIDA). Ils transportent leur mat\u00e9riel g\u00e9n\u00e9tique dans des brins simples d&rsquo;ARN et provoquent des probl\u00e8mes respiratoires et de la fi\u00e8vre. Comme le VIH, les coronavirus peuvent \u00eatre transmis entre les animaux et les humains. Les coronavirus sont responsables de la pand\u00e9mie du syndrome respiratoire aigu s\u00e9v\u00e8re (SRAS) au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000 et de l&rsquo;\u00e9pid\u00e9mie du syndrome respiratoire du Moyen-Orient (MERS) en Cor\u00e9e du Sud en 2015. Les premiers r\u00e9sultats indiquent que le SRAS-CoV-2 infecte les cellules en utilisant le r\u00e9cepteur de surface cellulaire ACE2. Les variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques du g\u00e8ne du r\u00e9cepteur ACE2 sont donc susceptibles d&rsquo;influencer l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 avec laquelle le SRAS-CoV-2 peut p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans les cellules de notre corps. Les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent d\u00e9couvrir des variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui conf\u00e8rent une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 une infection par le SRAS-CoV-2, similaire \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on dont certaines variantes du<a href=\"https:\/\/nebula.org\/blog\/human-immunodeficiency-virus-hiv-samson-1996\/\"><em> CCR5<\/em> g\u00e8ne r\u00e9cepteur<\/a> immuniser les gens contre le VIH. Pour prot\u00e9ger les humains de l&rsquo;infection, des particules virales inactiv\u00e9es ou des parties du virus (par exemple des prot\u00e9ines virales) peuvent \u00eatre inject\u00e9es \u00e0 des humains.
