Pour identifier les variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques associ\u00e9es au d\u00e9veloppement du cancer de la peau, cette \u00e9tude a examin\u00e9 11 389 personnes d&rsquo;ascendance europ\u00e9enne. Les variantes les plus significatives ont \u00e9t\u00e9 localis\u00e9es dans les g\u00e8nes ATM et CASP8. La prot\u00e9ine cod\u00e9e par le g\u00e8ne ATM v\u00e9rifie que l&rsquo;ADN est endommag\u00e9 \u00e0 divers stades du cycle cellulaire et active d&rsquo;autres g\u00e8nes si l&rsquo;ADN est endommag\u00e9. Le g\u00e8ne CASP8 joue un r\u00f4le essentiel dans l&rsquo;apoptose.
