Ce rythme permet au sang de circuler dans le c\u0153ur avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre pomp\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s dans le corps. Lorsque le c\u0153ur a un rythme anormal, connu sous le nom d&rsquo;arythmie, le c\u0153ur ne pompe pas le sang aussi efficacement, ce qui peut nuire \u00e0 l&rsquo;apport sanguin et en oxyg\u00e8ne du corps. Le syndrome de Brugada est un type d&rsquo;arythmie qui peut entra\u00eener des \u00e9vanouissements, des difficult\u00e9s respiratoires et une mort subite. Pour identifier les facteurs de risque g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques du syndrome de Brugada, cette \u00e9tude a analys\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 1500 personnes d&rsquo;ascendance europ\u00e9enne et a trouv\u00e9 3 variantes qui semblent \u00eatre associ\u00e9es au syndrome de Brugada. Deux de ces variantes se produisent dans les g\u00e8nes (SCN5A et SCN10A) responsables du d\u00e9placement du sodium dans et hors des cellules, un processus important pour l&rsquo;action de pompage du c\u0153ur. La troisi\u00e8me variante identifi\u00e9e est situ\u00e9e dans les g\u00e8nes HEY2 qui joueraient un r\u00f4le important dans le d\u00e9veloppement du c\u0153ur.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> Des choix de mode de vie sains peuvent aider \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir le d\u00e9veloppement d&rsquo;arythmies. He earned an M.S. and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) Ph.D. program at Harvard University.\u00a0He has experience in science policy as an intern at the Science and Innovation Network where he assisted in the science diplomacy functions of the British Consulate-General and as a research associate at TScan Therapeutics.
