De tels caillots sanguins peuvent bloquer la circulation sanguine, entra\u00eenant un gonflement douloureux des membres. Les caillots sanguins peuvent \u00e9galement voyager jusqu&rsquo;aux poumons, entra\u00eenant une embolie pulmonaire, une condition dangereuse associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une mortalit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Pour mieux comprendre les facteurs g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques contribuant au risque de thromboembolie veineuse, cette \u00e9tude d&rsquo;association pang\u00e9nomique a examin\u00e9 plus de 650 000 personnes d&rsquo;ascendance europ\u00e9enne, africaine et hispanique et a d\u00e9couvert 22 nouvelles variantes g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques. Certains des g\u00e8nes impliqu\u00e9s jouent un r\u00f4le dans la r\u00e9gulation du cholest\u00e9rol LDL (notre \u00abmauvais cholest\u00e9rol\u00bb) dans le sang.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>LE SAVIEZ-VOUS?<\/strong> L&#8217;embolie pulmonaire est souvent sous-diagnostiqu\u00e9e.
