{"id":12744,"date":"2021-01-31T13:18:45","date_gmt":"2021-01-31T18:18:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nebula.org\/blog\/genetica-cancer-de-pulmao-mckay-2017\/"},"modified":"2021-02-20T20:24:35","modified_gmt":"2021-02-21T01:24:35","slug":"genetica-cancer-de-pulmao-mckay-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nebula.org\/blog\/pt-br\/genetica-cancer-de-pulmao-mckay-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"C\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o (McKay, 2017)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>T\u00cdTULO DO ESTUDO:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/ng.3892\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> A an\u00e1lise de associa\u00e7\u00e3o em grande escala identifica novos loci de suscetibilidade ao c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o e heterogeneidade na suscetibilidade gen\u00e9tica entre subtipos histol\u00f3gicos<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>RESUMO:<\/strong> Identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de 4 novas regi\u00f5es gen\u00f4micas associadas ao c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>VIS\u00c3O GERAL:<\/strong> O c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o \u00e9 uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o na qual as c\u00e9lulas dos pulm\u00f5es se dividem de maneira incontrol\u00e1vel. \u00c9 a principal causa de mortes relacionadas ao c\u00e2ncer nos Estados Unidos. Existem dois tipos principais de c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o: c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o de c\u00e9lulas pequenas e c\u00e2ncer de c\u00e9lulas n\u00e3o pequenas, sendo que o \u00faltimo compreende de 80 a 85% de todos os c\u00e2nceres de pulm\u00e3o. Embora fumar seja o fator de risco mais comum associado \u00e0 doen\u00e7a, acredita-se que a gen\u00e9tica tamb\u00e9m desempenhe um papel. Portanto, ao examinar ~ 85.000 genomas, este estudo teve como objetivo compreender os fatores gen\u00e9ticos associados ao risco de desenvolver este c\u00e2ncer. Os pesquisadores identificaram 18 variantes gen\u00e9ticas associadas \u00e0 doen\u00e7a, 10 das quais s\u00e3o novas. Das novas regi\u00f5es, 4 est\u00e3o associadas ao c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o em geral. Algumas dessas regi\u00f5es foram anteriormente associadas a h\u00e1bitos de depend\u00eancia e tabagismo. No geral, as variantes gen\u00e9ticas identificadas ajudam a explicar 8,9% da herdabilidade deste c\u00e2ncer. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>VOC\u00ca SABIA?<\/strong> Embora o fumo seja a principal causa de c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o, a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ao rad\u00f4nio, um g\u00e1s invis\u00edvel e radioativo, tamb\u00e9m contribui para o risco. O rad\u00f4nio \u00e9 liberado pela decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o normal dos elementos ur\u00e2nio, t\u00f3rio e r\u00e1dio nas rochas e no solo.
