Neoplasias mieloproliferativas s\u00e3o um tipo de c\u00e2ncer do sangue que ocorre quando a medula \u00f3ssea produz c\u00e9lulas-tronco do sangue em excesso. Os sintomas comuns da doen\u00e7a incluem sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de fraqueza, cansa\u00e7o, dores de cabe\u00e7a e febre. Os pesquisadores identificaram 17 variantes associadas a um risco aumentado da doen\u00e7a, incluindo 7 n\u00e3o relatadas anteriormente.
