Alta densidade mineral \u00f3ssea significa ossos mais fortes e menor risco de fraturas e osteoporose. Este estudo do genoma analisou os genomas de mais de 142.000 indiv\u00edduos de ascend\u00eancia europeia e descobriu 153 novas variantes gen\u00e9ticas que est\u00e3o associadas \u00e0 densidade mineral \u00f3ssea. No total, o estudo relata 307 variantes gen\u00e9ticas independentes que, em conjunto, explicam ~ 12% da varia\u00e7\u00e3o na densidade mineral \u00f3ssea. O estudo tamb\u00e9m relaciona muitas variantes associadas \u00e0 densidade mineral \u00f3ssea ao risco de fraturas e osteoporose.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>VOC\u00ca SABIA?<\/strong> Para manter seus ossos
