A fim de compreender melhor o componente heredit\u00e1rio dessa caracter\u00edstica, este estudo realizou um estudo de todo o genoma. Ao examinar 4.838 indiv\u00edduos obesos e 5.827 magros da Su\u00e9cia, este estudo identificou duas novas variantes gen\u00e9ticas ligadas a um risco aumentado de obesidade. A variante gen\u00e9tica mais significativa estava localizada no gene KCNMA1 &#8211; que est\u00e1 envolvido na contra\u00e7\u00e3o do m\u00fasculo liso e na sinaliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos neur\u00f4nios. O estudo tamb\u00e9m confirmou a liga\u00e7\u00e3o entre a obesidade e o gene BDNF que promove a sobreviv\u00eancia, o crescimento e a diferencia\u00e7\u00e3o dos neur\u00f4nios.<br\/><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>VOC\u00ca SABIA?<\/strong> Voc\u00ea pode prevenir a obesidade em todas as fases da vida. Quanto mais tempo os beb\u00eas s\u00e3o amamentados, menor a probabilidade de ficarem acima do peso \u00e0 medida que envelhecem. Para crian\u00e7as e adultos, as formas de prevenir essa condi\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o bastante semelhantes: fa\u00e7a refei\u00e7\u00f5es balanceadas e saud\u00e1veis, fa\u00e7a exerc\u00edcios regularmente (pelo menos 30 minutos para adultos e uma hora para crian\u00e7as na maioria dos dias da semana) e n\u00e3o coma demais.
