Este estudo examinou 51.372 indiv\u00edduos de ascend\u00eancia dinamarquesa e islandesa, a fim de encontrar variantes gen\u00e9ticas associadas com CUD. A associa\u00e7\u00e3o mais forte identificada foi com uma variante que diminui a express\u00e3o do gene CHRNA2 no c\u00e9rebro. Este gene codifica uma parte do receptor nicot\u00ednico da acetilcolina, que \u00e9 uma prote\u00edna que permite que certas mol\u00e9culas passem para a c\u00e9lula quando a nicotina ou a acetilcolina se ligam a ela. Variantes do gene CHRNA2 tamb\u00e9m foram associadas \u00e0 depend\u00eancia da nicotina.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>VOC\u00ca SABIA?<\/strong> Atualmente, as op\u00e7\u00f5es de tratamento para CUD s\u00e3o bastante limitadas. No entanto, v\u00e1rios tipos de terapia comportamental parecem funcionar bem. Tamb\u00e9m existem estudos em andamento que visam encontrar medicamentos que podem ajudar com o v\u00edcio da cannabis.
