Seguiu-se uma epidemia que se espalhou por 26 pa\u00edses e infectou mais de 8.000 pessoas antes de o v\u00edrus ser contido. Os sintomas t\u00edpicos da SARS s\u00e3o semelhantes aos da gripe, incluindo febre, dor de cabe\u00e7a e sensa\u00e7\u00e3o geral de desconforto. Casos graves da doen\u00e7a eram comuns, resultando em uma taxa de mortalidade de quase 10%. Esta variante \u00e9 encontrada perto de<em> MxA<\/em> gene, que normalmente desempenha um papel na inibi\u00e7\u00e3o da replica\u00e7\u00e3o dos coronav\u00edrus SARS.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Infec\u00e7\u00e3o por coronav\u00edrus SARS (Tu, 2015)<\/h4>\n\n<p>Este estudo examinou os dados gen\u00e9ticos de pacientes chineses com SARS para identificar variantes em 2 genes que levam a um risco aumentado de infec\u00e7\u00e3o. Uma variante est\u00e1 no<em> CCL2<\/em> gene, que desempenha um papel na atra\u00e7\u00e3o de macr\u00f3fagos para um local de infec\u00e7\u00e3o.
